Barça’s exclusive formal and smart casual wardrobes

In 2013 Replay joined the football world in a big way as official sponsor of fine clothing and footwear for the outstanding FC Barcelona team. Now Replay is updating the outfits for the 2014/15 soccer season, creating exclusive new formal and smart casual wardrobes for the players and staff at Barça. The partnership between the Catalan club with its worldwide following and the directional premium denim brand represents for Replay a sensational entry into the realm of peerless Italian tailoring. Jeanswear culture merges with the most time-honored formal tradition, and thanks to suits custom made expressly for the Barça athletes denim becomes a high-class fabric used to design contemporary items with a sartorial cut. For official events FC Barcelona players will alternately sport Super Formal and Unexpected Formal looks. The Super Formal one consists of an exquisitely Italian slim-fit suit in 100% virgin Super 150s Tasmanian Wool, plus superfine white end-on-end stretch cotton shirt and dark blue pure silk tie. Completing the outfit is a seamless, thermowelded trench coat. As for the Unexpected Formal one, it features an Italian made slim-fit cotton fleece suit with edgy stretch denim appeal. Then in addition to a slim-fit shirt in medium wash denim, both the new trench and an indigo denim tie top off the look. Similarly, Replay’s smart casuals combine quality materials and sophisticated washes to define a line of easy wear with an identity that, like Barça, has no equals.The Hyperflex look highlights latest-generation Replay Hyperflex 5-pocket jeans where what makes all the difference is a 100% stretch (high elasticity) denim with excellent fabric recovery and superior comfort. For FC Barcelona players the jeans come in two different options, a medium/dark wash with subtle scraping, or simply a dark tone rinse wash. A slim-fit stretch denim shirt, a light zip-up sweatshirt with wine red coating, and a grey melange cotton slub jersey V-neck T-shirt with breast pocket clearly add to the season’s take on cool easy style. Meanwhile, the Soccer Biker look makes a dashingly bold statement by pairing medium wash Replay Hyperflex denim jeans with a black biker jacket in high gloss leather. The shoes too are custom designs, once again perfect expressions of Replay Footwear elegance & expertise. For the formal outfits there’s a pair of laceless oxfords in 100% natural leather complete with genuine leather sole. Handtooled in Portugal, they present a laser-cut Replay logo and, thanks to a special post-manufacture wash process, also a distinctive vintage allure. For the casual outfits, rather, there’s an Italian crafted shoe all in black leather. Its unique features include an extra comfort insole in natural latex, and a gold tone inside lining with laser engraved Replay logo.
