Liu Jo selected a new testimonial for its 2014 Fall-Winter campaign. An international, sophisticated and iconic woman, whose contemporary, naturally allured beauty goes with a surname that resonates with fascinating images: Dree Hemingway.
Great granddaughter of writer Ernest Hemingway, Dree, 26 years old actress and it girl, is among the most versatile models in the world, as well as a style icon celebrated by major international fashion magazines.
Blond haired, blue eyed as her mother Mariel (Woody Allen’s muse in "Manhattan”), American grown in Sun Valley, sophisticated and cosmopolitan, Dree is the ideal embodiment of the brand’s two facets: Liu Jo and Liu Jo Jeans. Her natural look and contemporary beauty are brought out by Angelo Pennetta’s camera, to “write” a journal with her.
The Italian grand tour is, indeed, the fil rouge to the new campaign: in “Dree in Italia” the model embodies Liu Jo’s hyper-feminine elegance; in “Un weekend con Dree” she brings out Liu Jo Jeans’ nonchalant style.
The shoot took place in an elegant location in the north of the Country, in a prestigious XIX century mansion. For Liu Jo the atmosphere is quite sophisticated. The images look as though they have been taken in fleeting moments, where the ambience is intimate and cosy: Dree is portrayed on the couch with her beloved Weimaraner puppies. As concerns Liu Jo Jeans the leitmotif is casual-chic luxury. Dree and her friends set out for a weekend on board of a vintage convertible Alfa Romeo, driven by its glamorous touch.
Dree Hemingway is the ideal protagonist of Liu Jo’s style thanks to the overwhelming personality. Her curriculum does not only include a successful family: Dree studied dancing for 15 years before she revealed her acting talent. In 2012 she won the Robert Altman Award for the Sean S. Baker’s “Starlet”; in 2013 she featured in “X/Y” by Ryan Piers Williams, presented at the last Tribeca Film Festival in April 2014.
