MOU – AUTUMN/WINTER 2017
This season mou presents an intoxicating mix of original designs and fresh updates to heritage styles. Material directions include textural and 3D effects contrasted with baroque flourishes and shimmering embellishments. High-heeled silhouettes meet wild nature in upscale feminine sophistication; while low-rise wood heel and laid-back sneaker styles offer new ways to look good when temperatures are low.
COLLECTION HIGHLIGHTS
Following a successful first season, mou expands the french toe line, transforming winter sheepskininto a look of refined elegance with a high hidden heel and tapered toe to boost sex appeal. This and other wedge styles appear in luxurious finishes such as sequined velvets, floral embroidery, appliquéd leather and glimmering metallics, evoking the decadent lifestyles of the baroque era.
Iridescent leathers in “gecko”, “dust” and “metallic camouflage” are important, making new and classic shapes uniquely desirable, as in the wood heel back strap in “black metal gecko”; the futuristic-looking eskimo lace & fur in “metal gecko” and our classic eskimo in “burgundy gecko”.
Crafted from the finest, ethicallysourced natural materials, Mou boots are naturally the fashionista’s choice for keeping warm both on the slopes and off. Key styles for après ski include french toe fur wraps in rabbit and goat, channelling a modern take on Dr Zhivago. For more casual wear the dream catcher with sneaker sole or classic sheepskin with sheep fur outer are perfect options after a long day ski-ing.
