We are happy to announce that Mr Tommy Hilfiger will be patron of P&Cs Designer for Tomorrow Award, hosted by department store chain Peek & Cloppenburg. During the time span of one year, Tommy Hilfiger will accompany the program and support aspiring fashion designers with his expertise. In previous editions, names such as Stella McCartney (2013) and Marc Jacobs (2012) have accompanied the Designer for Tomorrow award as patrons.
In his function for DfT, Tommy Hilfiger currently picks his top 10 from all budding designers’ applications and will elect the final winner together with with the judging panel during the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in July. As part of the program, Hilfiger will also support the winner in the idea research for his/her subsequent capsule collection. In addition, the newcomer talent will get the possibility to work together with the Tommy Hilfiger design teams in New York and Amsterdam.
The Designer for Tomorrow award aims to encourage talented junior designers individually and sustainable within the fashion business.
